(i found it on Digg)
Something about this picture makes me really happy. Maybe its because i grew up reading Calvin and Hobbes...or maybe it's because this is a fan's depiction of Calvin as an adult, and it's spot on. Calvin's way in the back, and just by looking at him, the way he's standing, the waving, you can just tell that he grew up.
But more than that, it's the way Hobbes is looking back at Calvin. It's like they will always remember the adventures they use to have. Hobbes will always be Calvin's best friend, and you can tell because, what, Calvin's like...at least in his 30's by now. Calvin never threw away his stuffed animal because Hobbes was never his stuffed animal; Hobbes was Calvin's best friend. Calvin is not just waving to his daughter, Calvin's waving also to Hobbes. Something about this picture epitomizes the friendship they have together, and now Calvin's Daughter can experience that kind of relationship.
and is it just me or does the little girl look a little bit like Susie?
Did Calvin and Susie...
