This post is not so much a thought...it's more like this debate i have with a certain friend who is TOO STUBBORN and TOO DIFFICULT.
The basic debate is: what does "-ish" mean in accordance to time? You know like, "1-ish" or "12-ish". Im a proponent of "-ish means around that time. It's its "1-ish" it would be around 1:00. There is a margin of error of maybe 10 minutes. Anytime after that, like from 1:11 and on, it'd be "within the hour". However a certain friend of mine believes "-ish" means in the hour, such as "1-ish" would mean "between 1-2", and my idea of "-ish" is just "around ___", i.e "1-ish" = "around 1".
This started from being a very simple disagreement to a huge debate, and now we've even sucked in a few of our friends, so its this major battle of good and evil. It's really frustrating.
So send me a shout out on my comments, or in my facebook, on the phone, AIM, in person, pigeon mail, snail mail, whatever, I just want to know what you guys believe the suffix "-ish" really means.

but i agree with you. "ish" = around. if it meant within the hour then you could say 1ish and mean something like 1:45. which really isn't close to 1 at all, it just has the number in it.

ish means around. i agree. haha :) but honestly, when i say "i'll be there around 1-ish", i'm actually going to be there within the hour. i know, so complicated. wtf..
